Dental Assistant, EFDA
Cariane, also known as Cari, has been a dental assistant for twelve years and became EFDA certified in 2016. She is originally from Hawaii and moved to Oregon to be closer to family. Cari’s desire to get into dentistry was influenced by her childhood dentist who provided her with excellent care. She uses dental assisting as an opportunity to give back and treat patients with the same care she received growing up. On her free time, Cari enjoys exploring Oregon with her two teenagers and husband.
Anissa gained clinical experience as a dental assistant during her studies at New Mexico State University, where she received her master’s degree in Biology in 2016. She recently moved to Oregon and joined our practice as she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist. She is passionate about helping others expand their knowledge about improving their overall health with research-based dentistry. On her spare time, she works in OHSU School of Dentistry’s Biomaterials lab, where she learns about the physical properties of numerous dental materials. Anissa’s hobbies include running, flossing, and making people laugh.
Registered Dental Hygienist, BA
Emily has over eleven years of experience in a wide variety of settings as both a fill-in and long-term stationary hygienist. She has a history of working with a wide variety of patients with an even wider dental story. She absolutely loves her chosen profession. She enjoys working with an individual in achieving or maintaining great oral/overall health and knowing the important connection that is. She is interested in knowing traditional and natural means of reaching that goal. She believes in education and that the more education you have- the more power. She believes that patients have autonomy in their own healthcare. She also wants to have fun and show that fun even in the dental office while understanding that people also have places to go and people to see. On her off time, she enjoys seeing family up and down the Oregon coastline, going to church, spending time with my friends locally, and learning more about gut health and how that and oral health can play a vital role in chronic and general well-being.
